I had recently been messing about with Windows Desktop (SideBar) Gadget development. The one I was creating was based around the CodeProject Reputation Watcher that I developed for Google Chrome.

It became a complete pain having to package up and then install the gadget after each code change and to enable testing. To simplify the process I threw together a quick and dirty GadgetPacker utility.
