Bing you ask? Where have you been for the last few weeks, holiday, living under a rock, 'offline'?

Bing is the 'new' search engine from Microsoft, it essentially replace Live.

I typically used to use Google for 99% of my web searches, but after playing with Bing since it went public a couple of weeks ago, i have found myself using it more and more. According to the various stats around the net, Bing has slowly been gaining market share of the internet search quesries. Microsoft will be keen to keep the momentum up and try and gain lost ground against Google and Yahoo who are 1st and 2nd in teh league tables with Microsoft 3rd. If Microsoft overtakes Yahoo, then there investment in Bing will be a whole lot cheaper than buying Yahoo. Time will tell if it is just media hype that brings in Bing searches or if people do start to use it through choice.

So whats my thoughts of Bing;

Search results seem to be relevant to my keywords and not filled with excessive junk.

The video auto preview feature is good

The image results presentation formats are good

Will just have to see where they take it next.
