So, let me guess, unless you are some sort of tech junkie, you will probably never heard of Wolfram Alpha, right?
Okay, Wolfram Alpha has all the potential to be the internets next killer application. The hype is building around the net and I don't think it will be long before mainstream media starts to pickup on what has the potential to become, quite simply, genius.
Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine. It has been developed to understand questions, calculate the results and present them to you in a useful form. Well, thats the theory anyway. WA has now opened its doors to public queries, and my first impressions are it is pretty good, although to get the desired results you sometimes have to juggle the keywords. As the databases become more populated, this could become a very powerful tool.
There are a whole bunch of example queries for you to explore on the site, and it is definitely worth a look.
Visit www.wolframalpha.com or your nearest search engine for more info.
